  1

  Delhi – Nainital (305Kms, 7Hrs drive)

  

  Drive towards Nainital after being picked up from City Centre Hotel (or residence) in morning. It is a popular hill station in Kumaon foothills of the outer Himalayas in Uttarakhand. This beautiful hill station is around 296 kilometres from Delhi. Its unceasing scenic beauty, salubrious climate, towering mountains and beautiful lakes attract tourists, nature lovers and honeymoon couples from across the world. Check into a hotel upon arrival by afternoon. After freshen up, step out for a stroll in Mall Road along the famous Naini Lake. Visitors may also enjoy a boat ride, or peddle a boat themselves for a memorable experience.
  
  Visit Naina Devi Temple located on north end of Naini Lake. It is one of the 64 Shakti Peethas, or religious sites, where parts of the charred body of goddess Partvati fell on earth while being carried by her consort Lord Shiva. The spot where Sati’s eyes fell is called ‘Naini–Tal’ or ‘lake of the eye’. Since then this place has been worshiped as one of the Shakti Peethas. Spend rest of the time in leisure activities or go on a shopping spree.

  Nainital Sightseeing

  

  Post breakfast in the hotel proceed for sightseeing. Visit St John church, which was built in 1844 and Governor’s House, also known as Raj Bhawan. It is the official guest house for the Governor of Uttarakhand and other state guests visiting this town. Visit Naini Peak – the highest peak in the town. Click mesmerising pictures of this town from the top of the peak followed by a visit to Snow View, which can be reached by a cable car. It offers spectacular view of the snowbound altitudes of Himalaya, including Nanda Devi, Trisul and Nanda Kot. The best time of the year to view mountains is late October and November. Get back to the hotel and spend rest of the time in leisure activities.

  Nainital – Delhi (305Kms, 7Hrs drive)

  

  Post breakfast in the hotel spend daytime in leisure activities, walk along Naini Lake or relax in the hotel until scheduled departure for Delhi. Visitors will be dropped back to respective residence or City Centre Hotel.
